In this atmospheric song recital, South-African baritone Jaques Imbrailo guides the audience through the world of dreams, youth, and loss. Accompanied by his pianist James Baillieu, he performs song cycles ranging from Butterworth’s wistful A Shropshire Lad and Rachmaninoff’s Children’s Songs to Mahler’s deeply moving Kindertotenlieder and Ravel’s vividly colored Don Quichotte.
